The 2024 SFWA Nebula Conference was held June 6-9 at the Westin Pasadena in Pasadena, CA and online. This was a hybrid conference, combining some of the innovative techniques we developed while pivoting to online conferences over the past few years with the lessons of past Nebula Conferences that were also hybrid, in Woodland Hills, CA (2019), Pittsburgh, PA (2017 & 2018), and, of course, last year’s in Anaheim, CA.

Our main goals for each year’s Nebula Conference are to provide excellent professional development, foster community among SFF aspiring and industry professionals, and of course, celebrate our Nebula Award finalists and honorees throughout the weekend, but most especially at the Nebula Award ceremony. That includes recognizing the inspiring work of our newest Grand Master, Susan Cooper.

Winners were announced at the 59th Annual Nebula Awards ceremony, which took place in Pasadena, CA and online on Saturday, June 8. We were excited to close the Nebula Conference with our annual celebration of the Nebula Award winners and honorees at the ceremony this year!
